Today at Stater Bros., I spent $36.75 and saved $36.14. I bought 4 Fritos & Cheetos on sale 4 for $5, 1 Pepperidge Farms cookies $1.99, 1 Lloyds BBQ pork tub $3.99, Oranges $.79/pound, 2 Nestle Drumsticks $2.50 each + $1 coupon, 6 Nabisco crackers $1.49 each, 2 Caprisun/Koolaid Jammers $1.49 each, and 4 Nabisco Chips Ahoy cookies $1.99 each.
At Fresh & Easy, I spent $15.54. I don't know how much I saved because when they have a sale, only their sales prices are listed. I bought 2 F&E ice cream for $2.79 each, 2 bags of 6 bagels $1.99 each, and 2 tubs of chocolate covered pretzels $2.99 each.
At Albertsons, I spent $9.50 and saved $21.77, which is 70%! I think that might be the highest percent I've ever saved at Albertsons! I bought 10 Gatorade for $.50 each, 1 Albertsons cookies from the bakery $2.50, and 2 Danimals Drinkables $2 each + $1 coupon. Albertsons had lost power, so only 2 cashiers were open. I decided to shop anyway because one of the regular cashiers told me the wait wasn't too bad. Thankfully, it wasn't and they gave everyone a $1 off coupon for their inconvenience! That was definitely worth it!

I also had $6 in extra bucks to use from last week's purchases and $3 extra bucks, which they emailed to me because it was my birthday on the 22nd.
At Walgreens, I spent $20.03 and saved $28.02. Lays Stax were on sale for $.99, Kraft mac & cheese(2 for us, 1 for charity) $.69, Gummy coca cola(my favorite) buy one get one free, Ajax(give away to charity) buy one get one free, Walgreens aluminum foil(give away to charity) $.69, Carefree pantiliners $.99, Pure Silk shaving cream(give to charity) $1.99 + $1.50 register rewards, General Mills Cereal $1.99 + $1 coupon + $.55 coupon, Scuncci hair elastics $2 + $2 register rewards, and Tone body wash $3.99 + $3 register rewards. I also had $4 in register rewards to use from 2 weeks ago. Since I had 2 coupons for the cereal, they had to ring up one box of cereal in a different transaction in order for the coupons to both work. I've never had that happen before!
Today at Walmart, I spent $41.48 and had $1.25 in coupons. I didn't have to buy too many things this time - just some food items we go through every week, and a few things for our dinners.
At Vons, I spent $21.26 and saved $24.58, which is 55%. Coke and Dr. Pepper were buy 2 get 3 free, and Oscar Meyer hot dogs were $.99 + $1 coupon. I also had to buy mini chocolate chips for my homemade muffins(Walmart was out).

Today at Stater Bros., I spent $14.25 and saved $28.79. Lunchables were on sale for $.75 + 2 $1 coupons, Kraft dressing(I will give to a charity) and bbq sauce $.75, Hillshire Farms sausage $2.50, Stater Bros. waffles $1.25, and I got a free gallon milk from a coupon I earned last time from the cereal promotion - it was $3.69.
At Albertsons, I spent $4.27 and saved $3.95, which is 48%. Miracle Whip was on sale for $1.99 + $.75 coupon. I also had to buy Kleenex pocket packs, which unfortunately, weren't on sale.
I also went to the Dollar Tree today because they have really great prices on cards, wrapping paper, and teacher gifts. Their greeting cards are only $.50, and they even had several different teacher cards to choose from. I also bought a 2 pack notebook set that will fit in a purse and 3 pens, and wrapping paper for my son's preschool teachers. My son wanted a puzzle, so I told him he could have one because tomorrow is his last day of preschool - he doesn't care that it only cost $1! :) I also bought myself a coupon organizer and I tried to buy a memo set. All of that for only $7.07! I say, tried to buy a memo set, because I had so many problems at the checkout. First, it rang up as $9 and something, which I knew should be around $7.50 + tax. The cashier realized she charged me twice for the wrapping paper, but when she took it off, it only rang up as $7.07. I stepped aside so she could ring up the other customers and found, that now she hadn't charged me for the memo pads. When I pointed it out to her, she just handed them back to me and said, "Merry Christmas!" That was nice of her, although I think she was just tired of me. :)

Today at CVS, I spent $10.79 and saved $6.11. Softsoap was on sale for $.88, Irish Spring soap $.88, Tone soap $1.88 + $1 extra buck to use next time, Lady Speed Stick $2.99 + $2 extra bucks, and a rain check for Edge shaving gel $3.29 + $3 extra bucks. The only thing I kept for myself is the deodorant - the rest I put in my give away to charity box.
At Walmart I spent $39.11. I didn't need very many things this week, because most of the things I'm making for dinner, I already have. In fact, I only needed 2 things for dinner, the rest is just normal products we use up every week.
At Vons, I spent $25.22 and saved $21.26, which is 46%. Lucerne ice cream bars were on sale for $1.79, Oscar Meyer Carving Board lunchmeat(I've always wanted to try this so I'm so excited it was on sale) $2.49, Dole juice $1.99, String cheese and cheese sticks $3.49, Farmland bacon $2.47(finally, it's been a long time since bacon's been on sale), and Yoplait Trix and Gogurt $1.97 + ecoupons $1.50 + $.75 coupon.
At Ralphs, I spent $3.44 and saved $5.78. Broccoli and cauliflower were on sale for $.88/pound, brown onions $.50/pound, and Colgate toothbrush(give away to charity) $.88 + $.75 coupon.

Covergirl NatureLuxe Review
As a BzzAgent, I was sent a bottle of Covergirl NatureLuxe liquid silk foundation and a tube of gloss balm to review. NatureLuxe is Covergirl's new luxury line of makeup. It is recommended by 3 out of 4 professional make-up artists. Covergirl refers to their new makeup as "luxury touched by nature." The foundation contains a touch of cucumber water and a hint of natural jojoba and rosehip extracts; and the gloss balm contains a blend of mango, shea and other natural butters.
I really like the Covergirl NatureLuxe liquid silk foundation. I like the fact that it has SPF 10 to help protect my face from the sun. The foundation is available in 14 different shades, and I picked the #350. It was a tad bit dark for my light skin tone, so next time I will pick a slightly lighter shade. When I apply this foundation, I feel like I'm applying really expensive makeup, rather than foundation that only retails for about $11.99. It feels so silky smooth as I apply it to my face. It also gives great coverage - it covered up all my acne(yes I still have acne at almost 40 years of age!) and my puffy eyes.
I also really like the Covergirl NatureLuxe gloss balm. It also has SPF 15 to protect my lips from the sun - I never thought about needing to protect my lips before. The gloss is great because it combines the color and shine of a gloss with the moisturization of a balm. This is available in 16 different shades, and I picked #245. This time I picked the right color - it was perfect for my lips and skin tone. This gloss is very easy to apply because of the shape of the tip and it did wonders for my lips! My lips are always chapped, but after I applied the gloss, they weren't chapped anymore. This is the first time I haven't had chapped lips in about 20 years! The gloss retails for about $6.49
If you would like to learn more about Covergirl NatureLuxe products for yourself, you can click here for their website, or here for their Facebook page.
I will definitely buy Covergirl NatureLuxe products again. I really enjoy using them and they're also very effective and luxurious. Have any of you tried them yet? What did you think?

Today at Stater Bros., I spent $33.11 and saved $28.76. I really saved more, but the vegetables just get entered as the sale price and don't show the savings. Romeros flour tortillas were on sale for $.99, 3 pound bag of Cuties $2.99, General Mills cereal $2.49 + $1 coupon + received a coupon for a free gallon of milk for next time, Michelinas $.50, zucchini $.99/pound, Hillshire Farms lunchmeat $2.49, Mothers and Keebler cookies $1.99 + 2 $1 coupons, and Hostess cakes $1.99.
At Fresh and Easy, I spent $5.36 because their sales prices don't show up on the receipt as sales, they just ring up as the regular price. Their pasta was on sale for $.99, and their tuna for $.69. I am giving all of those items to a charity. I also bought some chocolate covered pretzels for my kids, but they're not on sale.
At Albertsons, I spent $13.37 and saved $14.29, which is 52%. Hunts ketchup and Manwich(1 for us and 1 give to charity) were on sale for $.88; and Rice-a-roni(will give to a charity), Kraft mac and cheese were on sale for $.79, and Goldfish were on sale for $1.00. I also bought egg noodles for $1.99 - luckily they were on sale, because I needed them for tonight's dinner. I was going to buy them at Fresh and Easy for $.99, but I've finally learned that no one ever has egg noodles on sale for $.99. I wonder why? Does anyone know?

Zenni Optical Website Review
Zenni Optical is a wonderful website where you can receive prescription eyeglasses for as low as $6.95! Zenni was in the news--journal-news.com
on Feb. 19, 2011. The reporter talked about how expensive glasses have become and how she didn't want to buy expensive frames from her eye doctor's office. She requested a copy of her prescription and went to ZenniOptical.com. Her husband bought eyeglasses from the doctor and spent $95, but her eyeglasses which were equivalent to her husband's, only cost her $10.95!
If you want to check out this website for yourself to see if it's really true, check out their prescription eyeglasses. The thing that is most amazing to me is that they offer free anti scratch coating, thin and light 1.57 index lenses, full UV protection, a protective case and microfiber cleaning cloth with every eyeglass purchase! My optometrist charges extra for everything except the case! They also offer progressives, bifocals, anti-glare coating, and sunglass tinting for just a little bit more money - much less than what my eye dr. charges. The other great thing is that if you live in the US, you can expect to get your glasses in 9 to 14 days, and shipping only costs $4.95.
My 12 year old daughter and I just purchased our new eyeglasses in January, so we don't need new ones right now; but next January when it's time to go to the eye doctor again, I will ask for our prescriptions and head to Zenni Optical to see what we can find for $6.95 prescription eyeglasses. I really like the frames #362729 on the bottom of this page for myself - I love purple; and the frames #809417 on the bottom of this page for my daughter. She also likes purple.
So, the next time you need to buy prescription eyeglasses, check out ZenniOptical.com for yourself.

Yesterday afternoon at Walgreens, I spent $8.64 and saved $10.91. Colgate Total toothpaste was on sale 2 for $4 + $4 register rewards for next time + $1 coupon, Real Soft toilet paper 4 rolls $1.29, and Kleenex $.89. I also had $4 in register rewards to use from last time. Everything I bought, I will give to charity. By the way, I collected enough things to bring 9 bags of groceries to my charity this week! I have so much fun doing that!
At CVS, I spent $1.13 and saved $16.31. Kelloggs cereal was on sale for $1.97 + $1 coupon, VO5 $.77, and Carefree pantyliners $.99 + $.99 coupon. I also had $5.54 in extra bucks to use from last time. I will also give everything I bought here to charity.
Today at Walmart, I spent $81.69 and had $5.58 in coupons. $14 of this was not food groceries. We needed toothpaste and they had a great clearance sale on clothes for my 4 year old - pants and t shirts were only $1! I was able to find him 3 pants and 2 shirts. Even an older gentleman looking through the clothes told me you can't beat $1! Pork chops are expensive! I bought some thin center cut today for $13.62. Granted it's enough for 4 meals for us, so when you spread the cost over 4 dinners, it's really not bad, but it sure seems like a lot when you pay for it.
At Vons, I spent $13.10 and saved $14.37, which is 52%. Lays chips were on sale for $1.99, Fuji and granny smith apples $.77/pound, and Lucerne whipped cream buy one get one free.
At Ralphs, I spent $14.50 and saved $23.98. Minute Maid orange juice was on sale for $1.99, Quaker rice cakes $.99 + $2 Ralphs coupon, and Deluxe ice cream 2 for $5 + $.40 Ralphs coupon.

Children's Claritin Chewable Tablets Review
As a BzzAgent, I was sent a box of Children's Claritin Chewable Tablets to try. The package contains 10 grape flavored chewable tablets and is a non-drowsy source of allergy relief for your children ages 2 and up. It is the #1 recommended non-drowsy brand by pediatricians and is effective for both indoor and outdoor allergies. Claritin relieves sneezing, runny nose, itchy and watery eyes, and itchy throat or nose that are caused by allergens.
I know I've always talked to you about the severe allergies my 15 year old son has, but I've never mentioned the allergies that my 12 year old daughter has. Well, she has seasonal allergies that are definitely bothering her now during spring. So, I had her try the Children's Claritin Chewable tablets. First of all, she cannot swallow pills no matter how hard she tries, so these chewable pills are very easy for her to take. Second, she hates the taste of medicine so we always have a very difficult time getting her to take it. Well, she chewed her 2 claritin pills, and said that they actually taste pretty good! I asked her if they helped her feel any bettter, and she said they did - they worked pretty good for her. She sneezed less and didn't have any bloody noses the week she took them. The medicine allowed her to take her State Tests at school with ease, because she wasn't bothered by allergy symptoms.
If you would like to find out more about Children's Claritin Chewable Tablets, you can click here for their website and to receive a coupon. If you want to become a fan of their Facebook page too, click here.
My daughter is definitely willing to take the Children's Claritin again, and it worked well for her, so I'm very satisfied with this medicine. Have any of your kids tried it? What did they think, and how did it work for them?

Today at Stater Bros., I spent $12.31 and saved $8.56. All of the following items were on sale for $.75: Hunts ketchup, Van Camps pork & beans, Stater Bros. soup, Stater Bros. long grain rice, and Stater Bros. beans. I gave at least one of each of these away to charity. Also, asparagus was on sale for $1.99/pound. I almost didn't buy the asparagus even though I needed it for dinner tonight because all they had out was the really thick asparagus, and we only like the thin ones. Luckily, the produce guy was nearby and noticed me debating over whether to buy the thick asparagus or not, and he said he had a new box of asparagus and he thought it had thin ones in it. He opened it for me, and lucky for me it did have thin ones. That was very kind of him!
At Albertsons, I spent $10.38 and saved $12.65, which is 55%. Kraft bbq sauce was on sale for $.69, Cheetos & Freetos 2 for $3 and Danimals $2.00. My Albertsons has a new check out computer system that I really like. It shows the amount of savings on the screen as the cashier scans an item, which is great for someone like me who knows exactly what that savings should be. Now I can just watch the screen and say something right away if the savings doesn't show up, rather than having to wait and check my receipt. The receipt is changed too - it shows the regular item price, the price off using your preferred card, and the coupons. This is great for me, because that's exactly how I enter it when I scan it for Nielsen! Did any of your Albertsons change their systems too?

Yesterday afternoon at Walgreens, I spent $6.66 and saved $9.97. Puffs(give to charity) were on sale for $.99, Butterball broth $.50(1 for us & 1 give to charity), GUM flossers(give to charity) $2 + $2 register rewards to use next time and Right Guard deodorant $2.99 + $2 register rewards. I also had $3 in register rewards to use from last time. I found out that they don't give rain checks on their register rewards. They've given me one before, and I had it with me to prove it(because the item isn't in stock yet), but the manager said it was given in error.
At CVS, I spent $.85 and saved $14.31. Colgate Max toothpaste(give to charity) was on sale for $2.77 + $2.77 extra bucks + $.75 coupon, Dawn(give to charity) $.99 + $.50 coupon + $.25 coupon, and Earth Essentials toilet paper(give to charity) $.50. I also had $7.99 in extra bucks to use from last time.
Today at Walmart, I spent $57.14 and had $4.57 in coupons. $25 was not for groceries - it was for lotion and underwear for my son, a couple of toys to keep my son busy at this weekend's dance competition, and a few 75% off Easter items. I got a PAAS coloring kit for next year for only $.25! Hopefully I'll be able to find where I put it next Easter when I'm looking for it. :)
At Vons, I spent $13.42 and saved $6.89, which is only 35%. Refreshe soda was on sale for $1.88, and navel oranges $.57/pound. I also had to buy decorating gel for my 15 year old's birthday cake, which was $2.49 each! Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative? I couldn't believe how much a tiny tube of decorating gel was! Anyway, it was quite an adventure to buy the oranges. One orange rang up on sale and the other didn't, so I said I would just take the one. So, the bagger went to find out why the other one cost more and on our way out the door, I saw her talking to the manager, so I stopped. He said the non-sale orange was left over from the last shipment, so he would give it to me at $.57/pound. The bagger put the orange back, and I said wasn't that the orange I'm going to buy, and she said no, I left yours with the cashier. So, we head back to the cashier, and 2 other people in line heard the story, and let me go ahead of them. Well, of course, the cashier didn't have the orange, it was indeed the one the bagger had put back. So, she headed off to retrieve it, and I told her just never mind - I don't need one orange that bad!
Monday Savings
Today at Stater Bros., I spent $7.58 and saved $3.00. I really saved more, but the vegetable savings doesn't show up on the receipt. Also, the cashier didn't ring up the Hostess items separately, she just punched in quantity 3, so that savings isn't on my receipt either. Hostess cakes were on sale for $1.99, and cauliflower $.75/pound.
At Fresh and Easy, I spent $14.02. The items I bought weren't on sale, but their prices are cheaper than anywhere else. Their brand juice was $1.99, Allegro 160ct. napkins(give to charity) $.99, chocolate covered pretzels $2.99, and fruit jellies $2.99.
Albertsons didn't have any good sales for me this week.
